Now that you have shared a bit of your story in your letter to me, let's delve deeper into the ideas of 'stories'!
Think/pair/share activity

In the middle of your page write the word 'story'.

You have 30 seconds of thinking (no writing) about what the word 'story' means to you.

I will then give you 1 minute to write these ideas down around the word on your page. You might want to write a definition, the title of your favourite story or anything else that comes to mind- there are no wrong answers!

Finally, I will give you a minute or 2 to discuss your ideas with the person next to you before sharing with the class.

What can we learn about others from their stories?
How do others’ stories affect and/or enrich my life?
JOURNAL WRITING:
1. In your book, write the title 'Journal Writing'.
2. Choose one of the Essential Questions (above) and write a response to the question. Aim for about half a page. You will not be marked on this. It is purely an opportunity for you to express yourself. However, you need to ensure you use correct spelling and grammar.
