Gladiators
Let's learn a little more about ancient Roman Gladiators!
Now that we know a bit more about them, turn to page 245 of your textbook and read about each of the different types of gladiators.
After this we are going to play a game where you need to know about of these types :)
Research task- Gladiators

Read page 245 of your textbook

Conduct research on each of the different types of Gladiators. You should include a picture of each type of Gladiator with at least one paragraph of information about them.- including: who they were, what they wore etc. (See template over page)

After you have done this, you need to choose which Gladiator you would choose to be (if you had to) and write at least one paragraph explaining why. Make sure your paragraph is convincing!)
(Note: evidence has been found that indicates that there were female gladiators)

Songwriting- Ancient Rome
In groups of 3, you are to write a song about Ancient Rome.
Your song can be about one of following:

A Roman God or Goddess

A significant Roman person (for example: Julius Caesar)

A significant Roman legacy (for example: the Colosseum)

A combination of everything you’ve learnt about Ancient Rome so far
Your song needs to include relevant information about your topic and a catchy beat! You will be performing them next lesson to the class. You might want to use the tune of an existing song and change the lyrics.
Please print a copy of your song to hand to me next lesson.
There will be prizes for the groups with the most informative, clever and entertaining songs J
